The learning models in this research included direct instructional (DI) and teaching game for understanding (TGfU) by Metzler (2000). Kata Kunci: TGfU, direct instructional, pemahaman konsep bermain field game THE INFLUENCES OF LEARNING MODELS ON UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONCEPT OF PLAYING FIELD GAME OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS Abstract: The research was aimed to find influences of two learning models on the basic skills of play and the concept of field game. Hal ini dilihat dari signifikansi hitung Uji t 0.869. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep bermain tidak berbeda secara signifikan antara kedua kelompok eksperimen. Analisis data melalui teknik statistik inferensial (t-tes). Pemahaman konsep bermain diukur dengan game performance assessment instrument (GPAI). Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 16 kali pertemuan. Sampel penelitian 80 siswa sekolah dasar yang terbagi atas dua kelompok eksperimen. Desain penelitian adalah eksperimen post tes only. Model pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini adalah direct instructional (DI) dan Teaching Game for Undertanding (TGfU) Metzler (2000). It was concluded that Bingo Game is effective to teach vocabulary at elementary school.Ībstrak: Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dua model pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep bermain field game. Statistical computation using T-test showed that the score of tcount was higher than ttable (7.247 > 2.021) with standard signifcant 5% and degree of freedom was 32. The fnding of this study showed that the mean score of the students after they are taught by using Bingo Game (92.80) was higher than before they are taught by using Bingo Game (75.60). The research design of this research was pre-experimental research design by using one group pre-test post-test with quantitative approach. This study aimed at knowing the effectiveness of Bingo Game to teaching vocabulary at elementary school. This game can be practiced by asking students to remind words they have remembered after the lesson. Bingo Game is one of technique in teaching vocabulary. The teacher introduces the new word to the students and makes the students memorize the vocabulary. Learning vocabulary at elementary school means the students get some vocabularies.
